Overall objective consist of promotion of sustainable economic development of the cross border region Danube 21 by increasing cooperation between cross border actors in the fields of innovation, technology transfer (TT), Informational and Communication Technology (ICT);

Sustainable economic development of the cross border region means development of industrial and natural resources that meets the energy needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs in a similar manner.

There are many ways in which the right kind of economic activity can protect or enhance the environment. These include energy efficiency measures, improved technology and techniques of management, better product design and marketing, waste minimization, improved transport efficiency. Cooperation gives the opportunity for unifying the efforts, methodologies, policies, strategies in order to maximize the effects.

Innovation, technology transfer (TT), Informational and Communication Technology (ICT) represent the most important and cost-effective key that open the door to a better cross border future, in the European Community and a global economy. Instruments for cooperation consist of: creating and functioning of a working group formed by the representatives of the most relevant organizations and institutions that can influence and determine development of innovation, TT, ICT- results: a cooperation model based on methodology and the cross border Strategy for Innovation elaborated; creating an informatics network between partners, enterprises, services providers entities (enterprises, universities, NGO, research institutes, territorial state bodies) from the cross border region Danube 21 and further more within IRC network, 71 IRC consortia with 240 partner organizations from 33 countries – results:

  • integrated network of demands and supply of technologies, ICT, proprietary solutions, entities activating in the field, events, brokerage, projects proposals, partnership proposals;
  • organizing informative seminars, workshop, round tables for representatives of enterprises, mainly SMEs and specific services providers - results;
  • 180 representatives informed and trained; organizing an exhibition of the cross border innovative achievements – results: 35 exhibitors and 300 visitors gathered, 20participants to the round table;
  • organizing the cross border Conference– results: 60 participants cooperate;
